Pararoos Gold Coin Fundraiser Football Jersey Mufti day

Fri August 23

On Friday 23rd August – the last day of winter PSSA, Lindfield East PS will be supporting the Pararoos through a Ku-ring-gai wide ‘footy jersey’ mufti day. Students in K-6 are encouraged to wear a footy jersey to school to support the Pararoos. Students participating in PSSA students must wear their LEPS PSSA sports shirts under the football jersey please.

For this initiative, the aim is to fundraise and give much-needed financial support to the local Pararoos Development Centre held at the North Turramurra Recreation Area. The funds raised pay for coaching staff, equipment and resources for the annual program.

Students are asked to please make a gold coin donation on Friday morning.

Our story:

We are Australia’s national football team for athletes with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury or symptoms acquired from stroke.
We know the challenges of living with a disability, but we are footballers determined to change the game. We push to achieve excellence beyond expectations.
We are proud to pull on the green and gold jersey, but we need your help.
In 2015, after the Australian Sports Commission withdrew all government funding, FFA partnered with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) to establish a tax-deductible to raise critical funds to support us on our footballing journey. We now want to continue our journey to break down barriers and create inclusive opportunities for the millions of people in Australia living with a disability.
Every 15 hours a child in Australia is born with Cerebral Palsy. More than 700,000 Australians live with Acquired Brain Injury.
Help us inspire the next generation. Help us continue an important conversation.
This is more than football.
With your help, anything’s possible.
