BAND CAMP on MARCH 17 Friday– 19 Sunday (Concert & Performance Band ONLY)
It is very important that we know how many children will be attending Band Camp in order for us to finalise our booking at the Collaroy Centre.
Permission forms: Thanks to all parents who have returned their permission forms. If you’re yet to do this, please leave forms in the band box at school by next Wednesday February 15. If your child won’t be attending camp, please let us know as soon as possible. We will notify parents of the cost of the camp on Thursday February 16 and payment will be due by Thursday February 23.
Action plans: If your child has a medical issue, asthma or anaphylaxis you are required to submit an action plan to the camp coordinator as soon as possible please.
Parent roster: We still more parent volunteers to help at band camp to ensure the safety of our children and the smooth running of the camp. Please add your name to the volunteer roster by follow the link on band camp email. If you volunteer yourselves to stay overnight, you will need to have a valid Working With Children Check. If you haven’t got one, you will need to complete a Working With Children Check. SIGN IN/SIGN OUT POLICY
This policy has been reinforced by school for all activities happen within school ground to ensure the safety of your child before and after school hour.
For parent who walk their children to the hall, there will be a clipboard with roll marking sheet for you to sign your child in.
For parent who do not walk their children to the hall, they could drop their children off at top gate (near the pre-school) and a parent helper (or Co-ordinator) will be there to mark the roll from 7.50am to 8.05am.
If a band parent is positioned at the top gate, it is not necessary for parents to get out of the car and walk their child to the hall.
If your children arrive after 8.05am, parent will need to walk their children to the hall and have their roll mark in the hall.
For private tuition after school, please make arrangement with your tutor if your child attends BASC.
Parents/carers need to drop their children and collect them to/from classroom in person (sign in/out will be optional for one to one tuition). Parent who fail to collect their child may at risk of not be able to use onsite after school tuition.
Children are not to be walking around the school grounds unaccompanied by a parent or carer before 8:45am and after 3.30pm.
LUNCH REHEARSAL SUGGESTION
Please encourage your children to bring their lunch to the hall and eat outside the hall before rehearsal. There is always time for the children to eat when the parent is setting up the hall. It is important to advise your child to have their lunch at recess, and recess at lunch.
Lunch order from canteen is not suggested on band’s lunch rehearsal day. If your child has to order lunch from canteen on the day of band rehearsal, before you submit your order online, please remember to select BAND at the early lunch process box. This will ensure their lunches are places in a separate basket in the canteen, so the children have immediate access.
The roster for each week will be published fortnightly as a reminder.
Please be on time for rehearsal duty. If you are unable to attend, it’s important that you find a substitution or arrange a swap.
